Tylex is an analgesic opioid + analgesic non-narcotic. The pharmacological group of the drug is an antispasmodic analgesic.

When to take the drug

The main indication of Tylex is mild to moderate pain. It is allowed to drink the drug when:
injuries not related to bone damage;

  • arthralgia;
  • radicular syndrome;
  • neuralgia;
  • any pain (toothache, earache, headache).

Your doctor may also prescribe a drug to treat acute respiratory infections and flu.

Contraindications

The medicine should not be taken by children under 12 years of age, pregnant women, and people with a history of allergic reactions to its components.

How to take

Tylex CD is taken 1-2 tablets every 4 hours. Maximum daily dose: 8 tablets. The course of treatment with the drug as an analgesic is 5 days, as an antipyretic - 3 days.

Side effects

After taking the drug, the person may begin to vomit. In the epigastric region, there are painful sensations. Allergic reactions are manifested by skin itching, urticaria, swelling (quite rare). In some cases, symptoms may appear:

  • hepatic/renal dysfunction;
  • thrombocytopenia;
  • anemia.

High dosage in case of long-term use promotes the development of drug dependence.

Overdose

Against the background of overexcitation, sleep is disturbed. The person is nauseated, there are nagging headaches. Sometimes provoked by the development of severe respiratory failure.
In prolonged use in high dosage, there is a risk of kidney damage or development of hepatic necrosis.

Drug interaction

Prolonged use of barbiturates reduces the effectiveness of paracetamol. The risk of hepatotoxic effects increases with concomitant use:

  • ethanol;
  • rifampicin;
  • tricyclic ADs.

It is recommended to avoid the concomitant use of expectorants and drugs containing paracetamol.

Special instructions

While taking the medication, concentration may decrease. Also, the speed of psychomotor reactions is markedly reduced. Therefore, during therapy, special care should be taken when driving.
